About Lakewood Equestrian Center
The Lakewood Equestrian Center (LEC) is a public equestrian facility located at 11369 East Carson St., Lakewood, CA 90715.
The equestrian center’s primary functions are boarding and training horses and providing riding lessons.
The facility is open to the public seven days a week, from dawn to dusk, serving the local equine community and youth.
The 19-acre facility also has access to miles of trails along the San Gabriel River trail system, the city’s own Nature Trail along the westerly side of the San Gabriel River and the adjacent Rynerson Park.
On June 25, 2024, the City of Lakewood was scheduled to decide on the Center’s closure. Thanks to a large turnout, including members of the community, boarders, horse and animal lovers, other equestrian centers, and the media, we were able to secure another 60 days to find solutions.
